David Wiseman has been writing for decades but never really published anything.
He kept a diary and wrote verse and stories but it was only his retirement and renewed interested in the past few years in the events of the nineteen eighties that convinced him to write first an autobiography (‘Sex Love and Life’) and then realise he would likely need to write rather more to do the first one justice.
After starting this he wrote short pieces and completed some short stories with the covid isolation period allowing time to complete the first book and also recognise that he enjoyed writing enough to be part of a writing group, the Almerian Writers group developed in the period post isolation.
Although the text for Sex, Love and Life was originally completed in a standard traditional book format in late 2022, more recently he has decided to make it into something which is more of as mixed media piece something which fits into an ethos of creating a more immersive work, containing a mixture of writing, script, audio and visual imagery in both still and moving picture video formats. This has now been realised, with the development of the content contained here. The plan is to add more content from time to time within the whole but also to engage with comment and critique of the work through the comments section of each seperate entry and add to it through these further comments.
The plan is to complete two further pieces of work as both books and blogs of the which the second covering the period from 1990 onwards, and this is well underway as of February 2024 and the third, covering the time of his lifelong visits to Iberia from 1965 to the present day which it is planned to complete in the next year or so. In the meantime there may be single chapters from these added to the blog posts though.
